Spark plug ZGR7GI-13G Iridium NGK
NGK spark plugs made of iridium are currently the highest quality technical solution.
They have an iridium alloy tip on the centre electrode, which is welded in a special procedure using a laser. Iridium is one of the hardest metals in the world, melts at 2450 °C and is highly resistant to spark erosion - the spark plugs used in motor racing and formula 1. This material allows the service life of standard spark plugs to be doubled.
Moreover, the precious metal allows the centre electrode to be considerably thinner (0.6 mm thick), significantly reducing the need for ignition voltage and helping to improve the distribution of the flame front in the combustion chamber.
