Ergal intake valve cover for Yx 150/160 and Zs 155 engines
Engines with higher torque and lower revs are best matched with standard type cowls and springs, whereas engines with lower torque and higher revs should be fitted with hard springs to avoid valve flotation.
A significant fact is that when downshifting sharply, the engine is over-revved, and this can lead to the valve touching the piston.
On very twisty circuits where the engine is constantly revving at high revs, it is recommended to mount the hard springs, on the other hand, on circuits with very long straights where the engine is revving at medium revs and there are no sudden downshifts, ergal coilovers are recommended together with original type springs.
In this case, the intake and exhaust cup is designed for each valve, so be sure to mount each one where it belongs.
It is recommended to follow the standard 0,10 intake 0,15 exhaust setting with these cups
