The derailleur crosshead is one of the most important parts of the engine, if it is not in perfect condition, the derailleur will not work properly.
The couplingteeth must be superficially very hard to resist sliding wear, but at the same time they must have a very high resistance to withstand the shocks to which the transmission is subjected.
The complex geometry of the Smallframe models requires very careful workmanship in order to have a low roughness on the gear engagement cam. The mechanical characteristics, clearly superior to the original, make it indispensable for modified engines.
In the case of mounting on standard engines, the Polini crosshead guarantees greater reliability and durability, a less hard spring is included in the kit for this purpose.
