Description

Ignition with internal rotor MHR Team II for Piaggio Zip 50 from Malossi.

It manages several maps simultaneously by changing with a simple click. It allows to modify the selected map by moving the displacement (+ or - 2°).

developed with the most interference resistant control units by developing a uP STM8 - 8 bit microprocessor with higher processing capacity @ 20 MIPS: guaranteeing a higher spark efficiency than the previous version!

The MHR Team II range is equipped with a variable advance control unit:

  • The first (MAPS) to determine the map in advance
  • The second (OFFSET) allows you to change the desired map by + or - 2°.
  • The third (LIM), particularly suitable for 4-stroke engines, allows you to vary the operation of the rpm limiter (from 11,500 to 14,300 rpm + limiter excluded)

It also has 8 pre-set maps, divided into:

  • 1 for 4T engines variable advance
  • 6 for 2-stroke engines with variable advance
  • 1 with fixed advance

Other fundamental components have also been revised, such as the high voltage coil, capable of supplying a maximum discharge voltage >40 KV for normal engine speeds of >3000 RPM and an extraordinary rise time @10bar> 1750 V/uS.
One of the most important new features is the new rotor-stator group, whose static component has been completely redesigned under the mechanical and electronic profile!


In the assembly instructionsall graphics with adjusted feed rates for different motors will be provided in the assembly instructions.


Electrical efficiency improved by 20%. Reduction of the minimum starting speed from 450 rpm to 370 rpm.
The effects of this latest development result in an increase in the voltage supplied to the spark plug, at the same rotational speed, which is far from negligible compared to the previous model.

High voltage coil:

  • Maximum discharge voltage > 40 KV for engine speeds >3000 RPM
  • Maximum peak coil voltage with open gap > 50KV
  • Rise time @10bars > 1750V/uS

Rotor-stator group:

  • Weight reduction of stator part approx. 30%, -100gr total.
  • High permeability monolithic magnetic circuit.
  • Optimisation of the magnetic path.
  • Enhanced winding part, with higher thermal class cable and increased cable diameter.
