The correct brake pad break-in is done by a series of gentle braking by holding the brake lever for 10-15 sec. and then stop braking to cool the brake disc and pads, and repeat this action 5 or 6times.
This achieves a correct thermal and heating cycle, cooling of the system and subsequently better braking.
