The front brake disc from EBC replaces the original component on a wide range of motorcycles, providing a direct improvement in braking response. This rigid version disc stands out for its manufacturing precision and is focused on maintaining an optimal coefficient of friction under demanding usage conditions.

The manufacturer uses low-carbon HPSR forged steel, a material that offers an 18% higher coefficient of friction compared to the original component. This type of steel is highly resistant to corrosion compared to conventional cast steel. In addition, it features a protective 3-micron zinc coating over its entire surface to prevent rust. This protective layer wears away naturally in the contact area with the brake pads during the first braking applications, keeping the rest of the disc protected from oxidation.

In order to facilitate the evacuation of water and dust, the disc incorporates the Vogelschwingendesign drilling pattern. This pattern reduces the number of holes required, which helps improve wet braking response and reduces component wear. Due to its tight manufacturing tolerances, disc distortion is prevented even under maximum thermal loads, also preventing surface glazing. To obtain the recommended braking response, it is advisable to combine this disc with EBC Double-H Sinter brake pads.
