Piaggio scooter 125/200/250/300 4T 4V TNT exhaust/intake valves

TNT intake and exhaust valves for Piaggio 125 / 200 / 250 / 300 4-Stroke engines, intended to repair the cylinder head when the original valves show wear, loss of sealing, or damage in the seat area.

In a 4-Stroke engine, a valve that does not close perfectly causes a loss of compression and performance. Symptoms usually appear gradually: the engine becomes harder to start, loses power, the idle is no longer stable, or compression begins to drop even though the cylinder and piston rings are in good condition.

The intake valve controls the entry of air and fuel into the chamber, while the exhaust valve works directly with the hot combustion gases. The latter is subjected to a much greater thermal load, and it is common to find it with the seat deteriorated or even partially burnt when the engine has been operating at high temperatures, with incorrect adjustments, or for many kilometers.

Installing new valves makes it possible to restore the seal between valve and seat, which is essential for achieving good compression again. If the cylinder head is properly repaired, the engine regains more stable combustion, better response, and the performance it was losing due to leaks in the chamber.

When is it advisable to inspect or replace the valves?

• When the engine shows low compression without evident wear on the cylinder or piston rings.
• If it is hard to start, especially when cold.
• When the idle is unstable even with the fuel system correctly adjusted.
• If there is a progressive loss of power.
• When a valve seat is pitted, burnt, or deformed.
• During a complete cylinder head rebuild.

Installation advice: replacing the valve without checking the rest of the cylinder head is not enough. It is important to inspect the seat, guide, valve stem seal, and valve clearance. When installing new valves, the seats must be properly checked and machined to ensure that the entire surface closes evenly and maintains compression.
