Ignition complete Kokusan Zundapp / Sachs / Kreidler DMP

Ignition complete electronic ignition from manufacturer DMP, Kokusan type, for Zündapp, Sachs and Kreidler.

This DMP Kokusan-type ignition is a very interesting upgrade when the original ignition is already causing trouble: weak spark, poor lights, hot running failures, high-rpm cut-outs, or tuning that never gets quite right. It replaces the old system with a more stable 12 V electronic setup with better capacity to power the lighting.

The kit comes complete with stator, rotor, Ignition coil and voltage regulator, so it replaces both the ignition and the original dynamo. It is a highly sought-after option for builds and restorations of Kreidler, Sachs and Zündapp, especially when you want to use the bike without relying on an old, worn, or difficult-to-adjust system.

It operates with counterclockwise rotation, 1:5 taper, Ø90 mm mounting plate and Ø103 mm flywheel. The wiring is simplified by color: red for Battery positive, yellow for lights, green for ground, and connector to the rectifier.

On some engines it may be necessary to slightly machine down the base plate, approximately 1 mm, to prevent contact with the flywheel. This check is especially important if installed with replica crankshafts or non-original components.
