If there is one modification capable of completely transforming the behavior of a maxi-scooter, it is the suspension. The original rear shock absorber is designed to offer a balance between comfort and manufacturing cost, but when the riding pace increases, when riding with a passenger, or simply when greater precision is required, its limitations quickly become apparent.

The Malossi RS24/10-R comes directly from the Italian brand’s racing experience and allows the suspension to be fully adapted to each rider’s riding style. Whether for sporty use, long-distance touring, or daily commuting, its multiple adjustments make it possible to achieve a much more stable, precise, and comfortable motorcycle.

It features shock absorber length adjustment, allowing the rear height to be varied between +2 mm and +8 mm compared to the original in order to modify the motorcycle’s geometry and improve its agility. It also incorporates hydraulic rebound and compression adjustment, adjusting the speed at which the suspension extends and compresses to adapt both to roads in perfect condition and to more deteriorated surfaces.

The spring preload is also fully adjustable, making it possible to adapt the suspension to the weight of the rider, passenger, or luggage. A correct adjustment improves stability, traction, and cornering support, making the scooter inspire much more confidence in any situation.

One of the aspects that sets the RS24/10-R apart from other shock absorbers is its integrated dual nitrogen chamber. This system keeps the hydraulic operation constant even when the shock absorber works at high temperatures, reduces the onset of fatigue during demanding riding, and improves heat dissipation without the need for external reservoirs, while maintaining dimensions similar to those of the original shock absorber.

As is customary with Malossi, all components have been developed using high-quality materials, with body and fittings machined in anodized ergal, a 16 mm chrome-plated rod, a 40 mm double-acting piston, and low-viscosity hydraulic oil to maintain consistent performance regardless of operating temperature.
