The rocker arm is the part responsible for transmitting the movement of the camshaft to the valve. It works constantly inside the cylinder head, so over the miles, wear, play, or marks may appear in the contact area.

When a rocker arm begins to wear, metallic noises in the upper part of the engine, difficulty maintaining the valve adjustment, or less smooth operation may appear. If the play increases too much, the valve opening is no longer as precise, and the rest of the timing components are also subjected to greater stress.

Replacing a worn rocker arm helps restore proper valve actuation and keeps the timing system operating within its normal tolerances.
