For starting up and charging the battery with acid:
You just need to remove the caps from the battery tubes (top part), fill it with acid, wait two hours (without putting the caps on), then clean any acid that has come out with paper or a cloth and put the caps back on.

You need to connect the red to positive and black to negative and start the motorcycle; the same movement will charge the battery. Some people prefer to charge it before use to ensure the battery is at 100% of its charge.
