For starting up and charging the battery with acid:
You just need to remove the plugs from the battery tubes (top part), fill it with acid, wait two hours (without putting the plugs back), then clean any acid that has come out with a paper or cloth and put the plugs back in.
Depending on the battery, it is then ready to use.
You need to connect the red to positive and black to negative and start the motorcycle; running the engine will charge the battery. Some people prefer to charge it before use to ensure the battery is 100% charged.
