The metallic powders determine the braking capacity of the pad, the lubricants optimize braking stability, and the abrasives keep the discs clean.

A good brake pad break-in provides better braking, and prevents them from crystallizing. It is extremely important for all compounds to properly break in the brake pads.

The correct break-in of the brake pads: is done through a series of gentle brakings holding the brake lever for 10-15 seconds, and then stop braking to cool the disc and pads, and repeat this action 5 or 6 times.
This achieves a correct thermal cycle and heating, cooling of the system, and subsequently better braking.
