CDI unit unrestricted Stage6 Rieju MRT 50

Stage6 unrestricted CDI unit for 50cc motorcycles with Power Up ignition, compatible with different Rieju, Peugeot and Motorhispania models.

This CDI unit is designed for motorcycles equipped with a 12-coil Ducati ignition manufactured between 2007 and 2012. This system is usually identified by the Power Up or Max designation in the model name.

On some 50cc motorcycles, the standard CDI unit may cut the ignition at around 7,500 rpm. This is not a major issue with a completely original setup, but when you start fitting a Sport exhaust, Sport cylinder or other performance parts, the engine may hit the rev limit just when it should still be pulling to higher revs.

The Stage6 unrestricted CDI unit removes this restriction, allowing the engine to make use of a wider RPM range and get better performance from the rest of the setup. The final improvement will always depend on the cylinder, exhaust, carburetor and tuning fitted to the motorcycle.

It is also a good option if you simply want to derestrict a 50cc motorcycle while keeping the original engine or replace a damaged or missing standard control unit.

Important: after removing the RPM limit, it is advisable to check the carburetion and engine tuning. A different exhaust or cylinder may require changes to the main jet and other adjustments so that the engine runs correctly and does not run lean.

Attention: before placing the order, check that your motorcycle actually uses a Power Up ignition system. Some Rieju MRT models from 2018 onward may have a visually similar control unit, but it does not correspond to the same ignition system.
