CDI unit with variable advance from Malossi for Piaggio NRG Power 50 2T LC Euro 4

Malossi has made several improvements to the power curve and, most importantly, has increased the RPM limit to 15,000. The Digitronic CDI unit manages ignition advance and the SAS valve.

Ignition advance map

Ignition advance is managed through a three-dimensional map with linear interpolation, which contains 16 parameterisation points for RPMs and 8 parameterisation points for engine temperature.

SAS valve performance map

The secondary intake valve in the injection body allows engine management to compensate for the typical non-linearity of a carburettor-fed engine.
The SAS valve (Secondary Air Source) is managed by the ECU through an operating map with linear interpolation that contains 16 parameterisation points for RPMs and 8 for engine temperature.
The SAS valve reduces emissions and optimises engine operation for all operating conditions.
