Description

The Polini Evolution cylinders are synonymous with quality and power. The version 3 includes many changes compared to the previous one.

This evo 3 model is an aluminium kit treated with high-end nykasil, with a diameter of Ø47.6mm, which offers a real displacement of about 70cc.

The diagrams around 190/130 are well designed for circuit use, balancing peak and torque! The piston is single ring to allow for the highest speeds; this ring is very thin (0.80 mm), hard-chromed and domed to further reduce friction. This piston is treated with a high silicon content, giving it that distinctive matte appearance.

The most modified part is the exhaust outlet of the cylinder, which now comes partitioned in a T-Port shape. Compared to the Evolution 2, it is clear that the two additional outlets have been replaced.

The exhaust outlet is partitioned in a T-Port shape (rectangular); it may seem quite surprising but greatly improves the efficiency of the horizontal exhaust. The intake is achieved through 6 transfers, 2 rear and 4 lateral, which are also very well designed as they pass under the exhaust. To achieve maximum performance, a 24mm to 28mm carburettor is recommended.

The cylinder head consists of two pieces, cylinder head and small cylinder head, to achieve the best possible cooling.

With these competition kits, a set of base gaskets of different thicknesses is included so you can set your squish. This cylinder as announced by Polini has a power output of 21 HP at 13,400 rpm.
