Gear engagement cross for Vespa small frame short Egig gearbox.

The gear engagement cross of the gearbox is one of the most important parts of the engine; if it is not in perfect condition, the gearbox will not function properly.

The engagement teeth must be superficially very hard to resist wear from sliding, but at the same time must have very high strength to withstand the impacts to which the transmission is subjected.

The complex geometry of the small frame models requires very careful manufacturing to achieve a low roughness on the gear engagement cam. The mechanical characteristics, clearly superior to the original, make it indispensable for modified engines.
