You would use the blue mirror for cloudy days and with a lot of glare. The blue mirror lens still gives you good depth perception, but the mirror deflects all the glare. It is an excellent all-purpose lens for use in shaded, muddy, and medium light, sunny/cloudy conditions. Your view through the blue mirror lens will appear pale yellow in color.
