 The Athena Cylinder developed with a 56 mm diameter is designed to fit and enhance the performance of Aprilia RS 250 and Suzuki RGV 250 motorcycles. This Cylinder and piston kit from Athena is made with an aluminum alloy with high silicon content and machined with CNC technology to ensure precision and strict tolerances.

The Cylinder features an internal Motor-Niksil coating that provides an extremely hard and wear-resistant surface, optimizing the sliding of the piston and reducing friction.

The included flat-top piston is designed to complement the high performance of the Cylinder, also made from an aluminum alloy with high silicon content. This minimizes thermal expansion and maintains tight tolerances between the piston and the Cylinder.

In addition, its surface is treated with molybdenum disulfide to reduce friction and noise.

The piston design includes a lubrication window and additional holes to ensure proper lubrication of the critical parts. The piston rings, manufactured in Japan, have a chrome nitride coating that ensures low friction and extended service life.

The piston pin is biconical, made of aerospace steel and treated with nitride for strength and lightness.
