If you feel that your engine lacks that necessary punch to take off with power or you simply want the engine to rev much higher in the mid and high range, the Malossi 172cc cylinder is the essential upgrade.

By replacing the original cast iron cylinder with this aluminium kit with Nicasil coating, heat dissipation improves dramatically. This allows the engine to operate at more stable temperatures even under maximum demand, preventing power loss due to excessive expansion. The 6 transfer port layout has been designed to optimise crankcase filling, ensuring the air-fuel mixture enters at higher speed and the engine revs up with a forcefulness that the stock cylinder cannot deliver.

The 65mm piston uses two rings, a configuration aimed at reliability for daily use. In addition, the included cylinder head redefines the combustion chamber, increasing the compression ratio so that the explosion force translates into immediate acceleration.

For maximum performance, we recommend pairing it with a larger diameter carburettor (such as 28mm or 30mm) and a racing exhaust.
