Athena presents the new thermal group with original diameter for the Yamaha YZ 85 2019-2021.

The Kit guarantees the same performance as the original cylinder, extreme reliability, and optimal smoothness thanks to the lightweight aluminum cylinder, the nickel-silicon coating, and a new piston with a sintered molybdenum disulfide coating to further reduce friction.
All the components of the kit have been developed to withstand the highest temperatures, pressures, and stress, and are perfectly interchangeable with the original components.

The kit features some improvements over the original:
6 studs in the original cylinder head are only 4, and Athena has designed and developed a cylinder head with 6 studs to redistribute the tightening load more evenly, preventing leaks and improving the seal between the cylinder head and the cylinder.
The original cylinder head, made entirely of aluminum, has been revised and newly developed with a replaceable bronze insert, in order to ensure maximum flexibility in customization and performance improvement. The insert is made of bronze, which offers greater thermal stability than aluminum, even at high temperatures.

This thermal group can be installed without any need to modify the engine crankcase
