Even the Vespa SPECIAL 50, the most classic of scooters, sometimes needs a little more pep. And in a classic two-stroke engine, the most obvious and simple modification you can make is to add an expansion exhaust.
For this reason, Malossi technicians have designed a brand new exhaust system conceived specifically for the much-loved Vespa SPECIAL 50, in order to increase its performance and make it more usable, without distorting the immortal lines of the Piaggio scooter.
An exhaust that contains within it all the innovations and improvements. To get the best out of this expansion and to make it possible to install it on all Vespa models, the new manifold has been designed to adapt to all thermal units currently available on the market for this Vespa, from the original cylinder to the most efficient in the Malossi range.
It is precisely the manifold, with its shape, that best connects the flow of exhaust gases from the cylinder to the exhaust body, thus guaranteeing a considerable increase in performance. The exhaust body, due to its characteristic expansion shape, has been specifically designed to guarantee maximum performance. From the lowest to the highest number of revolutions, the suction effect of the burnt gases generated by this component is maximised.
This component has been designed with the precise aim of being identical to the original in order to be completely discreet. Inside, two chambers have been created, separated by a partition, to optimise the correct expansion of the exhaust gases as much as possible, minimising exhaust noise.
