STICK INDICATORS FOR UNIVERSAL MOTORCYCLE
Make yourself visible to other drivers with the Stick indicator set from Puig. Approved LED indicators, with black housing and smoked lens. Available in two different types:
Reference for the front part (9317N) with position and indicator function (48x20mm) and rear reference (9555N) with position, Stop, and indicator function (48x20mm).
Technical information
It should be noted that most motorcycles use bimetallic relays, so their frequency depends directly on the amperage flowing through the circuit. When replacing them, this amperage changes, and therefore the flashing frequency also changes.
If using electronic relays, whose frequency does not depend on the amperage, it should not affect the flashing.
If you have doubts about the relay installed on your motorcycle, it is advisable to install the indicator and check the frequency.
You should also take into account the indicator bulb; if the power of the bulb changes, you must replace it with one of identical power, which can be found in our catalogue.
If your choice is to use an LED bulb, there are two options to balance the flashing frequency:
- A resistor must be incorporated in parallel in the circuit on the right side and another on the left side. If replacing all 4 indicators, resistor Ref. 42980 should be used, but if only two are being replaced, resistor Ref. 58730 should be used.
- Identify the indicator relay of the motorcycle (location and number of pins) and replace it with the corresponding one from the list provided by Puig.
There are some motorcycles on the market that do not have a specific indicator relay, which makes its replacement impossible. It should also be noted that if more than one relay is involved in the indicator operation, replacing only one will not solve the problem.
