The correct bedding-in of the brake pads: is carried out by a series of gentle brakings holding the brake lever for 10-15 seconds, and then releasing the brake to cool the disc and pads, repeating this action 5 or 6 times.
This achieves a proper thermal cycling and heating, cooling of the system, and subsequently better braking performance.
