Due to the material they are made of, they last twice as long as the original ones and their operation makes sense since they work by sliding and do not wear out, nor do they wear out the aluminium of the variator.
Their shape allows the belt to go down a little further improving acceleration and when the variator opens, the ramp plate rises over the roller increasing speed.
