In 1959 Giuseppe Ferrigno founded his company in a small storage room in the east of Milan, thus beginning his entrepreneurial activity. In 1967 he decided to name it CIF, which in Italian means Construzioni Ingranaggi Ferrigno, setting up his headquarters in a 500m2 industrial building in the center of Milan, specializing in the manufacture of gears for all motorcycles.
Pietro, Giuseppe's son, from a young age alternated his studies with his father's company. In 1984 he took the reins and, with the desire to evolve, they moved to another 2,500m2 industrial building. Year after year, and with great effort, Cif positioned itself as the reference in the manufacture of national and quality products for Vespa.
