History of the Rieju brand 

In 1934, Luis Riera Carré and Jaime Juanola founded a company dedicated to the manufacture of bicycle accessories, which they named RIEJU, a name that comes from the union of the first syllables of their surnames. They were united by a close friendship, so they concluded that they should give it that name.

In 1947, an important year in the factory's history, motorcycle manufacturing began. At first, small bicycles with a small French explosion engine attached to the rear wheel, which quickly evolved into model 2, where it was already attached via a clutch and had a gearbox, developed by the company itself. This happened in 1950.

In 1994 it opened up to export, which continued to grow until in 2006 it accounted for 40% of its sales. Currently, Rieju is a manufacturer with a significant reputation at the European level.
