The Kawasaki Z900 already has an aggressive naked-bike look, but the original exhaust is usually one of the parts that adds the most visual bulk and weight to the bike. This Akrapovic Slip-On replaces that part of the motorcycle with a more compact, sporty silencer that is far more in keeping with the muscular lines of the Z900.

It is made from handcrafted carbon fiber components and finished with an end cap in the same material, a lightweight solution with a racing finish that is noticeable both in its appearance and in its weight. Compared with the standard system, it reduces weight by 2.1 kg, removing mass from a high rear area of the motorcycle.

Akrapovic claims an improvement of +1.7 kW at 9,500 rpm and +1.8 Nm at 9,500 rpm, with increased power and torque throughout the operating range. The improvement is not intended to turn the bike into something else, but rather to refine the response and better complement the engine’s sporty character.

The sound gains a deeper, more refined tone without losing its road-use focus. In addition, it features EC/ECE type approval and plug-and-play installation, so it can be fitted by following the instructions directly and without the need to remap the ECU.
