Unrestricted CDI unit Stage6 for Aprilia SR 50 with carburetor Euro 4 2018-2020, designed to remove the rev limit of the original control unit.

On some Euro 4 scooters, the stock CDI unit can cut the ignition at around 7,500 rpm. This is not a major issue with a completely original setup, but when you start fitting a Sport exhaust, Sport cylinder, or other performance parts, the engine may hit the limiter just when it should still be revving higher.

The unrestricted CDI unit Stage6 removes this restriction, allowing the engine to make use of a wider RPM range and get more out of the rest of the setup. The final improvement will always depend on the cylinder, exhaust, carburetor, and tuning fitted to the scooter.

It is also a good option if you simply want to derestrict a 50cc scooter while keeping the original engine or replace a damaged or missing stock control unit.

Important: after removing the RPM limit, it is advisable to check the carburetion and engine tuning. A different exhaust or cylinder may require changes to the main jet and other adjustments so that the engine runs correctly and does not run lean.
