CDI unit unrestricted with Stage6 remote control Derbi Euro 4

Stage6 CDI unit with selectable limitation via remote control for 50cc Euro 4 motorcycles, compatible with Derbi Senda X-Treme, Aprilia SX and Gilera SMT.

Unlike a conventional unrestricted CDI unit, this control unit allows you to change the maximum RPM remotely. It includes 2 remote controls with which you can select between four different modes, from strong RPM limitation to a mode with virtually no limitation.

It is a particularly interesting solution for a modified motorcycle with a Sport / Racing exhaust, higher-performance cylinder, or other modifications, as it allows you to take advantage of a higher RPM range when the setup requires it and select a lower rev limit when you want to restrict engine operation.

The Stage6 CDI unit incorporates a small indicator showing the selected mode and a synchronization button to pair the control unit with the remote controls.

4 operating modes

• Mode A: limited to 4,000 rpm.
• Mode B: limited to 7,000 rpm.
• Mode C: limited to 8,000 rpm.
• Mode D: up to 16,000 rpm, a mode with no practical limitation for this type of engine.

The Mode A can be used as an anti-theft function, since with the engine limited to 4,000 rpm the motorcycle becomes virtually unusable for normal riding.

Important: after removing or modifying the RPM limit, it is advisable to check the carburetion and engine tuning. A different exhaust or cylinder may require changes to the main jet and other adjustments so that the engine runs correctly and does not run lean.

Note: depending on the model, installation of this CDI unit may cause the integrated tachometer in the original instrument cluster to stop working.
