Description
Ergal retainer for VMC intake for YX160 / ZS155 Pitbike engines.
Ergal retainer for the intake valve of Yx 150/160 and Zs 155 engines.
Engines with higher torque and lower revolutions combine better with standard type retainers and springs. On the other hand, engines with lower torque and that reach higher revolutions require hard springs to avoid valve float.
A significant fact can be observed when downshifting abruptly, the engine remains at very high revs, and this may cause the valve to touch the piston.
In very twisty circuits where the engine is constantly at high revs, it is recommended to install hard springs. On the other hand, in circuits with very long straights where the engine runs at medium speed and there are no abrupt downshifts, ergal retainers together with original type springs are recommended.
In this case, the intake and exhaust retainer are designed for each valve, so make sure to install each one in its correct place.
It is recommended to continue using the standard adjustment 0.10 intake 0.15 exhaust with these retainers.
