Correct break-in of the brake pads: it is carried out through a series of gentle braking actions, holding the brake lever for 10-15 sec. and then releasing the brake to cool the disc and pads, and repeating this action 5 or 6 times.
This achieves a correct thermal cycle of heating and cooling of the system and, subsequently, better braking.
