These springs are responsible for holding the clutch; by installing stiffer springs, the engine needs more revolutions to gain more centrifugal force so that the clutch opens. The stiffer the springs, the higher the revolutions must be. This means the engine will be more revved up and when the clutch engages, you will have more take-off on the bike! The engine must always run at high revolutions for the clutch to stay engaged, because as the springs are very stiff, they want to return to their original position.

Attention in your choice, as if it is too stiff, you need more power and more RPM, which leads to greater clutch wear.
