Carbon reeds for Metrakit V3S reed valve

The Metrakit V3S carbon reeds are replacement components designed to replace the worn petals of the intake assembly. Their function is to regulate the flow of the air-fuel mixture toward the crankcase of a 2-stroke engine, acting as a one-way valve that responds to the internal pressure and vacuum changes of the engine.

With continued use, the original intake reeds tend to suffer from material fatigue, losing flexibility or even chipping at the edges. The most common symptoms of wear are difficulty starting when cold, irregular operation at low revs, and loss of pre-compression in the crankcase. Replacing damaged petals in time helps prevent more serious breakages that could damage the cylinder and the piston.

This replacement reed kit is made of high-strength carbon, a material that offers excellent response speed and reduces reed bounce at high revs. It is installed directly onto the Metrakit V3S reed valve body, restoring optimal sealing and the engine’s instant response when opening the throttle.
