The gear ratios in geared mopeds are very important to get the most out of the engine. A gear ratio that is too long may prevent you from taking full advantage of the engine's power, and the same applies to one that is too short. Normally, you should follow certain guidelines to choose them.

If you choose a front sprocket with a lower number of teeth, you will achieve more acceleration, but lower top speed. If you choose a larger front sprocket, you will lose acceleration but gain top speed.

• M5 - 25 mm
