Transmission oil 75W140 20L Motul Gear Competition LS

Motul Gear Competition 75W140 LS transmission oil in a 20-liter format, high-performance synthetic lubricant developed for gearboxes, transmissions, and limited-slip differentials subjected to heavy loads.

In a competition transmission, the gear teeth operate under very high pressures, impacts, and significant temperatures. The oil must maintain a resistant film between the metal surfaces even when the load increases abruptly or the transmission operates for long periods at high temperature.

Gear Competition uses ESTER Core® technology reinforced with extreme-pressure EP additives. Esters show affinity for metal surfaces, helping to keep the lubricating film adhered and reducing direct contact between gears.

Its 75W140 viscosity provides an especially resistant film when the transmission is hot. This is of interest in gearboxes and final drives operating with high torque, high temperatures, or heavy loads, where a less viscous oil may lose its protection margin.

It also incorporates a specific friction modifier for limited-slip differentials. In an LSD, the internal discs require controlled friction to lock progressively without generating jerks, vibrations, or noise during operation.

Motul declares a 0% loss due to shear and maintains the SAE 140 grade after the 20-hour KRL test. This indicates high viscosity stability even when the oil is constantly working between gears subjected to heavy loads.

It also maintains good low-temperature fluidity, helping the gearbox operate with less resistance and smoother shifting when cold, while retaining a high-strength lubricating film when it reaches operating temperature.
