The main characteristics of the Semi Metallic compound are its effective, adjustable, and progressive braking, a minimal rate of wear and noise without "fade" effect, a pad that is very effective in both dry and wet conditions, and very gentle on the disc.

The correct break-in of the brake pads: is done by a series of gentle brakings, holding the brake lever for 10-15 seconds and then releasing the brake to cool the disc and pads, repeating this action 5 or 6 times.
This achieves a proper thermal cycle and heating, cooling of the system, and subsequently better braking.
