If you want your Derbi Variant to stop being just a commuter bike and really start to breathe, the original intake system is the first bottleneck you need to eliminate. This Metrakit intake kit is the ultimate solution to maximize crankcase filling and drastically improve the mixture flow to the cylinder, making the engine respond with much more power every time you open the throttle.

The main component is an ultra-short Reed valve spacer made from high-strength 7075 aluminum. By reducing the distance between the carburetor and the crankcase, we increase the pre-compression of the gases, which is vital in 2-Stroke engines so the mixture enters the transfers with greater speed and pressure.

The highlight of the set is the V4X Reed valve, developed together with specialist Moto Tassinari. Thanks to its double prism structure and its 4 carbon petals, the air intake surface is doubled compared to a conventional reed valve. This allows the engine to rev higher and increase RPM with remarkable smoothness, eliminating flat spots during acceleration and making the most of high-displacement cylinders.

To complete the set, the intake manifold ensures a perfect angle to avoid turbulence. It includes a specific rubber connector for mounting 24 mm and 28 mm carburetors such as MRDII, PWK, etc.
