Floating disc Zip sp/ Vespa PX Disc 200mm Stage6 R&D

The brake disc is 100% made in Italy and has been tested in real conditions on the racetrack. It is made entirely of high-quality martensitic steel. This type of steel has a high carbon and chromium content, the main advantage being its superior toughness and hardness, which ensures a prolonged service life.

The heat treatment of the braking surface is the same as that used in superbikes, so when competing in circuit races, riders can brake consistently and powerfully throughout the race.

Floating discs have several advantages compared to fixed discs. With floating brake discs, the braking force is distributed about 30% more evenly than with regular discs, resulting in better braking response and more uniform brake pad wear. The brake disc is equipped with orange anodized bushings made of 7075 T6 aluminum, whose strength is comparable to steel but weighs much less.

The advantages of the Stage6 MKII floating brake disc:

- increased and consistent braking power even in extreme conditions
- excellent heat distribution and limited expansion and distortion at high temperatures
- reduced brake pad wear
- better handling and more grip when braking in corners

NOTE: requires adaptations if you install it on a Vespa PX Disc, you need to file the hub to accommodate the floating bushings.
