The stator is the fixed part of the motorcycle's ignition and charging system. It is responsible for generating the current needed to power the electrical system and charge the battery, as well as supplying energy to the ignition in engines with a CDI unit system.

When the stator is damaged, faults such as loss of spark, battery not charging, weak lights or even engine stalling may occur. It is a fundamental component in the vehicle's electronics and its deterioration is usually due to overheating, winding wear or magnet failure.
