The carburetor mixes the petrol with the air in proportion so that this mixture introduced into the cylinder produces the explosion; to tune (adjust) the carburetor we have jets, needles, diffusers, slides...
In original engines it is not advisable to install a large carburetor; for modified engines, a competition carburetor PWK, OKO, VHST, DellOrto, Keihin is recommended...
It is important that the intake system (reed box, manifold, etc…) matches the diameter of the carburetor, since when replacing the carburetor it is also worth replacing the rest of the intake system to obtain the maximum power from the assembly.
